About us
MARITSA is a non-profit association set up to carry out public-benefit activity. Its seat and registered address are in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The association is non-religious and politically independent.
Our goals
According to the association's statute, our goals are:
- Education and support. To help pupils and students with accommodation, food, clothing, heating, medical care and medicines, as well as textbooks and learning materials.
- Science and culture. To encourage the development of science and culture and to support talented young people.
- Seminars and conferences. To organise seminars, conferences and practical research activities on historical, cultural, educational, socio-economic, environmental and legal topics.
- Sport, travel and culture. To organise sports, tourism and cultural events, excursions and holidays for pupils and students.
Funding
The association is funded by donations from Bulgaria and abroad, and by supplementary economic activity related to its goals. All income is used only to achieve these goals.
